Here are the Elmira NY "Northern Tier Giant Pumpkin Growers" Weigh results.

1. Alan Nesbitt 1029 (Bobier 723 x Bobier 845)
2. Bill Bobier 996 (Calai 846 X Bobier 845)

Junior Division

1. Kevin Coulter 165

Bill and Alan's monsters were 1/2 inch difference in OTT, 373, and 372.5 inches, and were both nice looking fruit. Bill's showed the trueness of the Calai 846 being awesome orange in color, while Alan's 723 Bobier plant threw him a wonderful salmon light pinkish color monster. Both pumpkins were announced over 1000 pounds, but 4 pounds were taken off for tarps, as no one remembered to bring a lifting device(cough cough.. ANdy Wolf.. cough.. cough)

Small contest, looking to expand, each year this one gets better growers, bigger pumpkins, and someday could become a nice site if given a little more promotion.. Nice low key one to chat in a relaxed atmosphere though... Good times had by all...

I will submit pictures and results to the AGGC site of the fruits over 500 pounds. I will put a few pics in my diary (rocky-r) for the time being of the 500+ pound fruit..
