i grew one at 3 lbs it was the first tomato that i ever got to 3 lbs but i Finnished with 5 over 3 lbs and a 4.14 for my largest off a mega marv. i think it was a good one to try and im sure it can grow a 4-5 pounder.

I grew Steakhouse alongside 83 other giant tomato varieties. The largest specimen was 0.868 lbs.; most were around 1/2 pound. There were a couple of double blossoms, but nothing I would call a megabloom. 81 of those varieties outperformed Steakhouse - "The largest tomato ever bred". The only one that Steakhouse beat out was Severnyi - but that plant died before it even put out a blossom, so maybe that doesn't count? Thoroughly unimpressed, but maybe I got a bad packet of seeds?
Sounds like your Steakhouse seeds were something quite different and worth growing again Chris!
