Bob, from your pictures, it appears that you have a ribbon vine. In my opinion, alot of wasted effort to be had on that plant.

This plant isn't in my main patch so i won't spend much time on it then.I think ill just let it grow and se what happens??Is there anything that i can do to help it produce a good pumpkin, even a 20 pounder ?

You can sometimes split the vine until it has a much smaller growing tip and then it might develop a standard plant. 20lbs shouldn't be hard. In fact I bet you could set every female that comes along and have them all reach 20. Toss the bloom booster fertilizer to it - like 0-26-26.

I've heard that REALLY over watering it might make is split on its own.

I over watered a ribbon vine and it healed itself.

Ryb,terminate the tip of the ribbon vine(just prune off all the small buds) with a sharp knife or scissors.the plants energy will switch to all the secondary vines.you can train one of secondaries as your main.
